In the course of a single day, each of us breathes in and out around 24,000 times. These breaths carry crucial information we don't consciously notice, invisible messages to the brain that immediately trigger emotions and memories. Which is why smell is an important tool of communication.

The creation of a new product is characterised by a constant flow of many ideas, yet only a few of them come to life. ACID RAIN is one of those—a clothing fragrance that symbolizes the interplay between the natural and artificial worlds, offering a truly unique sensory experience.
This fragrance is designed to keep clothes fresh for longer periods, reducing the need for frequent washing, thus saving water, energy, and time.

03

Every detail, including the packaging, reflects the concept of acid rain, with the spherical bottle representing a drop of rain hitting asphalt.

04

During the development of ACID RAIN one particular idea captured our attention: crafting the perfume bottles with blown glass by expert artisans in Veneto, Italy.
This glass is created from sand, melted at extremely high temperatures, and rapidly cooled. Each piece is meticulously shaped by hand, resulting in a uniquely designed work of art.

05

Our raw, distinctive aesthetic is especially embodied in our concrete base. This design is inspired by the imagery of a raindrop splashing onto asphalt. Crafting this base was a meticulous process, requiring five intricate stages: hand-assembled wooden molds, precision-crafted 3D-printed components, pouring and curing the concrete, intricate laser engraving.

06

Every aspect of Acid Rain's development has been meticulously crafted to create not only a unique clothing fragrance but also a true piece of design that stands the test of time. With this in mind, the fragrance bottle features a screwable pump, allowing it to be refilled once it's empty.

07

Choosing a screw cap introduced certain limitations, such as fixed dimensions and shape, which led to a misalignment between our glass bottle and the pump. To address this, we designed a special ring that allows the pump to screw into the bottle, with part of it fitting inside. Developing this ring was complex. The final piece includes multiple components: a threaded ferrule, a main thread that matches the pump's thread, and a screwable cap.
We opted for brass for two key reasons: its strength and weight, and its aesthetic appeal. Initially gold-colored, brass oxidizes over time, developing a raw patina that complements our brutalist design.

08

Creating ACID RAIN was a journey that combined advanced AI with traditional perfumery. We started by giving the AI a brief outlining of the concept behind the fragrance, which it used to generate a curated list of potential ingredients. Then, we worked with a master perfumer to refine and blend these into the final scent. The challenge was to translate "Acid Rain" into a fragrance, inspired by the smell of rain on asphalt with a sharp, acidic note. We aimed for a cool, fresh scent, balancing these elements to bring our vision to life.
